In 2001, Malaysia ranks 18tn largest in the world in term of sales turnover based on the World Federation of Direct Selling Association Statistics. The sales turnover was valued at RM4.8 billion in 2003 with a projected growth between 10-15% annually. The heightened awareness among Malaysians to raise the quality of life - socially, physically and financially - also gave rise to the need of an alternative retail system that can accommodate the changing needs of Malaysian consumers.
